About Taxi Zero
A community-driven taxi service founded on the principle of taking action when action is needed.
Our Story
Taxi Zero was founded in 2014 after landlords John and Elisa Meyers heard from their tenants about insufficient taxi service options in the Potsdam and Canton areas.
Rather than wait for someone else to fill the gap, John and Elisa took action and launched their own taxi service to serve the community.

Business Ventures
John co-founded SLIC Network Solutions, a North Country startup. The company was named after his experience working at the IBM site in SLC (Rochester, MN).
John and Elisa currently operate seven Airbnb units in the Potsdam and Canton areas, serving students and visitors to Clarkson University, St. Lawrence University, SUNY Potsdam, and SUNY Canton.
Community Involvement
John has served as a deacon in his local church, where he has been an active member since 1981 and serving in leadership since 1991.
