Prepare your property for listing photos

A practical checklist for homes and other properties in Potsdam and St. Lawrence County. JD Meyers Productions has operated since 2016.

Choose the coverage

Listing photos are $200 up to 1,500 sq ft, $325 for 1,501–3,000 sq ft and $475 for 3,001–5,000 sq ft. Above 5,000 sq ft, add $100 per started additional 1,000 finished interior square feet.

Aerial stills are $300 as a same-visit add-on or $450 standalone. A 3D tour is $300 as a same-visit add-on through 3,000 sq ft, plus $100 per additional 1,500 sq ft; standalone tours start at $450. This listing aerial add-on does not include a finished video. Drone work depends on airspace, weather and safe flight conditions. Confirm property size and the final quote before booking.

Before shoot day

Clear counters, tables and floors; put away toiletries, bins, cords, laundry and personal paperwork. Make beds, straighten furniture and remove distractions that you do not want shown. Clean glass and mirrors. Check that lights work and use consistent bulbs where practical. Open interior doors and arrange access to every room included in the shoot.

Outside the property

Move vehicles away from the main frontage when possible. Put away hoses, bins and garden tools, tidy entrances and check the yard. Tell JD about access restrictions, construction, livestock, tenants or nearby hazards before arrival. Drone footage is not guaranteed simply because the address can be booked.

For a 3D tour

Prepare every area that will appear in the tour. Keep people and pets out of the scan route, finish staging before the appointment and confirm which rooms should be included. Tour size and access requirements should be agreed in advance.

Scheduling and delivery

Share the listing launch date before choosing your shoot date. Confirm the agreed delivery turnaround for your job, including any aerial media or 3D-tour processing. Do not schedule a listing launch based on an unconfirmed appointment.

Send the property address and town, square footage, property type, preferred date, listing deadline, access instructions and whether you need photos, aerial media or a 3D tour. Example subtotal

A 2,000 sq ft listing photo session ($325) plus same-visit aerial media ($300) totals $625 before any separately quoted travel or custom work. With a same-visit 3D tour through 3,000 sq ft ($300), the example subtotal is $925. These examples do not reserve a date or replace a written quote.
